A very warm welcome to Year 1. 

In Year 1, we continue to build on the important foundations of learning established in the Early Years. Children develop greater independence as they strengthen their phonics, reading, writing and mathematical skills, while also exploring a broad and engaging curriculum.

Our aim is to nurture curiosity, creativity and courage, ensuring that every child is supported and challenged to achieve their very best. Alongside core subjects, the Owls enjoy a wide range of learning experiences across science, history, geography, art, music, PE and more.

We look forward to an exciting year ahead, filled with new discoveries, meaningful learning and plenty of opportunities for our Owls to grow and shine.

Please see below for our home learning opportunities for this half-term. We would ask all children complete at least one activity and bring it or send a photo into school by Tuesday 3rd November. For further information on expected homework, please visit the Homework page under the Children menu.
