Parent Survey Feedback
Spring 2026
Thank you to all parents and carers who completed our Spring 2026 Parent Survey. We received responses representing around 58% of school families. We value the time taken to share both positive feedback and areas for improvement.
Headlines
Across the survey and written comments, several clear strengths emerged:
- Strong relationships with staff – many parents highlighted caring, approachable teachers and teaching assistants who know children well
- Positive impact of recent leadership changes – a significant number of comments noted visible improvement and greater transparency
- SEND support – most responses indicated that children with SEND are well supported, with a number of parents describing provision as “above and beyond”, particularly where plans and professional advice are now in place
- Curriculum enrichment and newsletters – parents welcomed improvements to the school newsletter and the range of enrichment opportunities provided

What We Are Doing
Behaviour
- We have re-launched our relationships and behaviour approach with clear expectations, timelines and parental communication
- Staff training continues to reinforce consistent strategies of behaviour management and there has been a marked improvement in the learning behaviours seen in school
SEND
- We have been developing a designated SEND/safe space, including supervision at key points of the day
Communication
This was one of the areas of greatest improvement based on some of the parent comments, but we recognise a need to be more consistent with how key messages are shared with parents. We will review our communications policy and implement the following using our established platforms:
Weekly Newsletter – This is emailed every Friday to all parents and contains essential information about upcoming events for the whole school. This was highly praised in the comments by parents.
Whole School Emails/texts – these will be used by school as reminders of information previously shared in the Weekly Newsletter about upcoming events
Class Emails/texts – these will be used by teachers to communicate any specific information for the class, e.g. changes in PE days or upcoming class events.
Seesaw - previously, we appreciate Seesaw has been used to give information and it has led to confusion about which platform to check for what piece of information. Moving forwards, Seesaw will be used primarily for the sharing of work or photos of what has been going on in the classroom.
- By following this plan, we hope to streamline communication by:
- Clarifying the primary platform for day-to-day messages
- Reducing duplication across channels

Here are some of the comments from parents about our wonderful school:
Keep up the good work we are very pleased with our choice of school and you should be proud of the job you are all doing teaching our children. Thank you
The reception and year 2 teams create such a lovely environment for the children to learn and play. Both our children love the teachers in these years and look forward to going to school because of that! Thank you
All three children have gone to the school and been very happy. I would and have recommended to many
The newsletter has improved communication,thanks
It’s a brilliant school. There’s schools closer to home, but Lowercroft is the best for my child
I’m really impressed with how Lowercroft support my child’s learning and development. I know she is well looked after by all staff and if I ever have any issues the staff are always welcoming and approachable. I want to say thank you for everything you do to ensure my child’s primary school experience is a memorable one.
My child loves having _____ as her teacher and I know she will continue to do well academically and socially as she moves throughout the rest of the school. "
My son has come on so much since starting school, really grateful for all the hard work the teachers put in to the children
Communication needs to just be a bit more in advance via email or sms as sometimes it feels short notice.
Teachers are amazing at Lowercroft always listen to any concerns and always have the children’s happiness at heart
Delighted we chose Lowercroft- we feel incredibly lucky to have our little girl at this school. The difference we have seen in our little girl since starting at Lowercroft is incredible.
Lowercroft is a great school, myself and my wife are extremely happy with the education our son is getting.
I like the new newsletter, it is informative and clear. The enrichment is excellent and a lovely addition. I feel like the school has turned itself around recently. The only downside is the money commitments and reminders about this for the extra activities.
We are very happy with the school, the education and oppurtunities provided, the teachers and the head teacher
____ has made a great start to school life from reception to now year 1. His teachers have been amazing with him and make us feel at ease with any concerns and supported us with this
Communication is much improved since new management structure. The headteacher and teachers have become more transparent and involved with school events. Massive improvement since my child started at Lowercroft. All TAs are amazing at Lowercroft and they really encourage my child's learning. Also thanks to the new teacher in year..... who has helped my child to consolidate her knowledge for KS1. Thank you
Excellent School and we are very pleased
No problems happy with Lowercroft
I am truly grateful for the continuous support and care the school has shown to me and my daughter. During times when I applied for various forms of help, the school was always there, supportive, understanding, and ready to assist in every possible way. Their kindness and dedication have made a real difference for our family, and I deeply appreciate everything they have done.
____ has been wonderful with our son this year. He has come on so much under his guidance and his engaging, supportive teaching style has really helped build his confidence and love of learning. We’re very grateful.
He is very happy in school, especially his teachers are his role models.
I feel like the school has been through a rough patch. I feel I would have answered these questions differently had it been a year ago but I feel like I have seen green shoots of the school regaining its spirit and quality of teaching.
