Parent Workshops – Supporting Children with Anxiety
Bury’s Educational Psychology Service is offering the Overcoming Programme, a series of six group sessions for parents and carers of children aged 5–12, where anxiety is the main concern. The programme uses a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approach to help adults understand anxiety and learn practical ways to support their child at home.
Sessions will run during the spring term and include opportunities to meet other parents, learn supportive strategies and reflect on how best to respond to anxious feelings. There will also be an individual follow-up appointment after the programme ends. Parents must attend all sessions and expressions of interest are required in advance. Please see the flyer below, or view it on the notice board in reception, for full details and how to register.
