World Book Day 2025
We had an incredible time celebrating World Book Day! Our school was bursting with creativity as children and staff arrived dressed as their favourite book characters. From classic fairy tales to modern adventures, the variety of costumes was truly fantastic!
We kicked off the day with an energetic Wake Up, Shake Up session, getting everyone moving and ready for a day filled with book-themed fun. Throughout the day, the school bell rang unexpectedly for our special ‘Stop and Read’ moments—giving everyone a chance to pause and enjoy a good book, no matter what they were doing!
One of the highlights of the day was our Potato Character Competition. The creativity on display was simply amazing, making it incredibly difficult to pick winners. After much deliberation, we are delighted to announce that Mabel H was our EYFS/KS1 winner, and Harlow took the top spot for KS2—congratulations to both of them! To round off the celebrations, we held a costume showcase in the hall. Each class had the chance to parade around, showing off their wonderful outfits and soaking in the applause from their peers. It was a fantastic way to end a truly special day!
