Lowercroft pupils did us proud at this year’s Bury Schools Cross Country events, achieving outstanding results across all age groups. Our Y3/4 teams performed brilliantly, with the girls securing an impressive 2nd place overall and the boys finishing strongly in 4th place. In the Y5/6 competitions, our children continued to shine: the Y5/6 Inspire Boys team claimed an excellent 3rd place, while our Y5/6 Excel Girls finished a very strong 4th. A particular highlight came in the Y5/6 Excel Boys race, where Lowercroft were crowned champions, finishing 1st with an exceptional team performance. We were also thrilled to celebrate Alicia’s outstanding individual success, as she powered to victory in her race and secured a well-deserved gold medal. These achievements reflect the determination, teamwork and resilience shown by all our runners. We are incredibly proud of every pupil who took part—they represented our school with fantastic effort, spirit and sportsmanship.
