Enrichment Fridays: Inspiring Curiosity and Character
At Lowercroft, our Enrichment Fridays are designed to open children’s eyes to the wider world — introducing them to something different that sparks curiosity and inspires a lifelong love of learning. Through a diverse range of experiences such as Forest School, Photography, Performing Arts, Food Technology, Art, and First Aid, pupils are encouraged to explore new interests, develop practical skills and express their creativity in hands-on, purposeful ways.
Each activity is underpinned by our school values:
-
Curiosity drives children to question, explore and discover.
-
Courage enables them to step outside their comfort zone and try something new.
-
Independence grows as they take ownership of their learning and develop confidence in unfamiliar situations.
-
Empathy and Respect shine through as pupils collaborate, listen to others and appreciate the skills and perspectives each person brings.
Together, these values ensure that every Friday afternoon becomes a time where children learn not only something different — but also something deeper about themselves and the world around them.
